No 9. Over the Hedge(2006)

A DreamWorks Studio success. Over the hedge follows the story of a con-artist raccoon named RJ (Bruce Wills) tricking a mismatched family of forest creatures in helping him repay a debt of food he owns Vincent the bear. It may not rank highly above other great animated films, but it is still fantastic and entertaining for all ages.

Puss in Boots is an animated adventure-comedy film directed by Chris Miller and stars Antonio Bandaras (voice of Puss in Boots), on his adventure prior to his first appearance in Shrek 2. A notorious fighter and lover, Puss became a hero when he sets off on an adventure accompanied by his friends Humpty Dumpty and the sexy kitty ‘Soft paws’. Another entertaining DreamWorks movie with a great story-line.

No 6. Captain Underpants(2017)

George and Harold hypnotizes their principal into thinking he is an incredibly superhero (captain underpants) who fights with an underwear and cape. A weird and very funny film with cool animation. Although it didn’t get much audience, it got lots of positives reviews. Kids will definitely watch this one over and over again.

No 5. Megamind(2010)

What is a supervillian without a superhero? If he destroys everything and kills everybody, what next? Well every supervillian needs a superhero and vice-versa  but in Megamind’s case, he has defeated his superhero and now he is so bored, he had to create a new superhero but instead his plan backfires and instead he ends up creating a new supervillian. Some twist & turns you will not expect from an animated movie. Fantastic and Refreshing.

No 4. Kung Fu Panda(2008)

Another Amazing adventure film from DreamWorks with beautiful martial arts. It is one of their best animated movies of the decade. Very humorous and completely entertaining I must say. Stars the voices of Jackie Chan, Angelina Jolie, Jack Black, and Dustin Hoffman. It tells a story of Dragon Master Po who was destined to defeat an evil kung-fu warrior named Tia Lung. The fourth installment of the movie is set to be released this year.

No 3. Shrek(2001)

One of the most popular and original movies made by DreamWorks studio. Shrek is funny charming and a great adventure film to watch with the family. The movie tells a story of an Ogre called Shrek (Myers), who finds his swamp overrun by fairy tale creatures who have been banished by the corrupt Lord  Farquaad (John Lithgow). Shrek goes on a quest to rescue the feisty princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) with the help of his Donkey pal (Eddie Murphy) who will do anything for Shrek except to ‘shut up’. The movie grossed over $484 million worldwide against a budget of $60 million.

No 2. How to Train Your Dragon(2010)

It will always be in my top two best movies of DreamWorks Studios, no matter what they produce in the future. The movie is full of amazing adventures and also charming characters. It has another three installments, and follows a great story from how hiccup and toothless became friends to facing Drago, (a dragon trapper bent on capturing and dominating all dragons) to seeking for the Hidden world. If you have missed any of the series, please try and watch it, it’s worth your time.

No 1. The Boss Baby(2017)

How to train your dragon was originally my best DreamWorks movie until the baby who wears a suit and talks like a boss appeared in 2017, I was so happy watching the Boss Baby and ‘’Coco’’ another dazzling movie from (Pixar and Disney). Those films made my 2017 and I will love to see their story continue. So sad the Boss Baby received nominations for best animated feature film at both Academy awards, Annie awards, and the golden globes, and lost it all to COCO. A truly original take on sibling rivalry, funny, and so touching.
Honorable Mentions: Lots of top missing names like The prince of Egypt, The road to El dorado, Wallace and Gomit, Monsters vs. aliens, Penguins of Madagascar, Trolls, Flushed away, and Chicken run.
